Approximately 700 million people in the world suffer from water shortage. 2 billion people have a clean water problem. About 1000 children die every day from polluted water. About 2 million people die each year due to drought, disease and difficulty in accessing water.

The Prophet (PBUH) stated that the best form of charity is to provide access to clean water. A well is a Sadaqah Jariyah; when you build a water well for a community in need, you will benefit for years to come since the well will keep supplying pure water.

NEED Charity have dug wells in over 30 different countries around the world. With your support, we reach depths that vary depending on the country and provide water solutions to the people of those in need.

With our 100% transparency policy, we provide photos and videos upon completion of the well with your sign affixed to it. We are able to film the water well as soon as we finalize it and we put a plaque with your name on it. We’ll provide you specifics about your well’s location and the neighborhood you’re helping. You will get images of the entire construction process, from planning to completion.
