Hafidh Sponsorship in Madagascar

It is narrated from Osman bin Affan (ra) that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: “The best among you are those who learn the Qur’an and teach it.”

al-Tirmidhi

We are launching a new project in Madagascar: Hafidh Sponsorship. Currently, there are 450 students receiving education from our team in Madagascar. All of these students are working hard to become hafidh(memorizers of the Qur’an) while also receiving training in hadith and dawah. Most of their families are struggling to make ends meet.

As Need Charity, we wanted to take a step to ease the lives of these students and their families. With this project, we hope that the children will continue their education more comfortably and that we will have planted seeds for the future of the ummah, insha’Allah. Through our project, we aim to gather funds to sponsor each student at a rate of $40 per month or $480 annually

We invite you to contribute and pray for this project, which offers a great opportunity for sadaqah jariyah

The Current Situation in Gaza and Hot Meal Distribution

The war and massacres continue in Gaza. Since October 7th, conditions have worsened with each passing day. The number of martyrs has exceeded 40,000, with thousands injured and missing. Israel has targeted all civilian areas, leaving no safe place for Palestinians to seek refuge. They bombed tents set up in areas designated as safe, burning people alive, and rained bombs on schools where displaced people had taken shelter. The attacks are still ongoing.

The food and water crisis in the region has reached critical levels. Children are walking miles to find clean water, and if they manage to find it, they have to carry heavy water containers back to where they live. Access to basic necessities, especially food, has become extremely difficult due to the challenges faced by aid trucks trying to enter the region.

As Need Charity, we have been working from the very first day to support the people of Gaza through various campaigns, such as water distribution and hot meal distribution. With your donations, we reach out to families in the region, showing them that they are not alone, and ensuring they have a hot meal. We invite you to contribute to this good cause and make donations for ongoing needs like hot meals.

Access to Clean Water in Gaza is Becoming More Difficult

Gaza has been suffering from a severe water crisis due to prolonged conflicts and blockades over the years. Since the war that began on October 7, access to clean water has become increasingly difficult for hundreds of thousands of people living in Gaza. The limited availability of potable water sources and the destruction or contamination of existing sources have become life-threatening issues for the people of Gaza. Due to the water shortage, hygiene problems are escalating, and diseases are spreading.

Women and children have to walk several kilometers to water sources, wait in line to collect water, and then carry it back several kilometers every day.

Our Water Tank Campaign as Need Charity

As Need Charity, we are launching a water tank campaign to alleviate the water crisis in Gaza to some extent. Through this campaign, we aim to provide water to families and communities suffering from water shortages in Gaza. By installing water tanks, we will help our brothers and sisters in Gaza access clean water more easily.

Let us not forget that one of the best ways to show gratitude for the blessings Allah has given us is to share those blessings with others. By providing water to our brothers and sisters in Gaza, we can touch their lives and earn the pleasure of our Lord. Let us come together and support this campaign to meet the water needs of our brothers and sisters in Gaza and bring smiles to their faces.

Eid Al Adha 2024

Another Eid al-Adha is behind us. This year, while the sadness of what is happening in Gaza continued, we also experienced the happiness of reaching Eid al-Adha and delivering meat to those in need.

This year, alhamdulillah, we sacrificed 918 shares of qurban in 6 countries. We are grateful to each of our donors who made this possible. Through your contributions, we were able to deliver meat to approximately 50,000 people. Alhamdulillah, hundreds of families in 6 countries were blessed to have meat, even if just for a day.

Although Eid al-Adha has ended, throughout the year, with the support of our donors, we continue to reach out to those in need through various campaigns such as water wells, food distributions, mosques, and schools. With your support, we strive every day to reach an orphan, to support a family. May Allah be pleased with all of you.

We pray to Allah to bring our ummah to a more beautiful Eid al-Adha next year and to make us witness the freedom and happiness of the people of Gaza.

Standing Together Against the Natural Disasters: Heavy Floods in Afghanistan

In recent weeks, there have been some heavy and unexpected rains in Afghanistan despite the season. The heavy rains have triggered flash floods, which caused the destruction of homes, buildings, and agricultural lands. The aftermath of these natural disaster has left many families homeless, vulnerable, and some children orphans like there wasn’t already so many in the country. All of them need urgent assistance.

As the floodwaters are gone, the true extent of the damage becomes increasingly obvious. Families have been displaced, crops have been destroyed, and essential services have been disrupted. Many people are dragged out from the rumbles, some children were saved from the mud that was about to swallow them.

In times of crisis, it is essential for us to come together and extend a helping hand to those in need. As NEED Charity, we try to help the Ummah as much as we can during challenging times. We recognize the urgency of the situation and are committed to providing immediate relief to the flood victims in Afghanistan. Our dedicated team will be on the ground, distributing hot meals, bread, and water to alleviate the suffering of those affected by the floods.

The provision of these basic necessities is a small yet crucial step towards rebuilding the lives of the affected people. Through our collective efforts, we aspire to bring hope even if it’s little and comfort to those who have lost so much from their hard-earned houses and loved-ones.

Eid in Gaza

As Muslims around the world, we have spent a month of fasting, prayer, and reflection, we bid farewell to Ramadan with a mix of gratitude and nostalgia. Throughout the month, we tried to strengthen our connection with Allah. In the nights, we woke up to eat Suhoor, nourishing our bodies for the long day ahead. Throughout the day, we thought and appreciate the blessings that we often take for granted. In the evenings, we gathered in mosques for Taraweeh prayers, recite the Quran and attended dawah lessons.

In Ramadan, we always feel very generous. Most of us give charity constantly, to support the less fortunate, and extended a helping hand to those in need. Our hearts filled with compassion and empathy, engaging in acts of kindness and brotherhood. Each day passed with a growing hope, drawing us closer to the joyous celebration of Eid.

However, while we wait for the Eid, it was always impossible to ignore the heartbreaking reality that our brothers and sisters in Gaza have been experiencing for months. As we prepared for a joyous Eid, they were mourning. Their homes were reduced to rubble, their loved ones taken away by unfathomable violence. The echoes of bombs drowned out the sound of their prayers, and their joy was clouded by despair.

While we exchanged gifts and gathered with our families to feast on delicious meals, the people of Gaza sought refuge and solace in makeshift shelters, their minds filled with anguish and their hearts heavy with grief. The usual celebrations, the excitement, and the laughter that filled the air in previous Eids were replaced with mourning and sorrow.

As we raised our hands in prayer during the blessed time, we always remembered the people of Gaza. We always make dua to Allah (swt) to ease their suffering, to bring peace upon their lands, and to grant them the strength and resilience they need to rebuild their lives. May our hearts remain open, and our commitment to aiding those in need only grow stronger.

Bringing Warmth to Gaza: Blanket Distribution by Need Charity

In the midst of the ongoing conflict and harsh winter conditions in Gaza, Need Charity has been blessed with a beautiful step forward to provide essential warmth to those in need. As part of our humanitarian efforts, we have distributed blankets to individuals and families affected by the war and displacement.

Gaza has long been embroiled in conflict, facing the brunt of violence, displacement, and economic instability. The region has witnessed the devastations of g*nocide and the enduring consequences of prolonged t*rrorism. Amidst such turmoil, the arrival of winter exacerbates the challenges faced by the residents, particularly those living in tent camps and makeshift shelters.

Understanding the urgent need for warmth and comfort, Need Charity opened a blanket distribution campaign to provide relief to the people of Gaza. Blankets serve as a lifeline during the cold winter months, offering protection against the harsh weather conditions and helping to alleviate the suffering, although it is never enough.

With your generous support, as Need Charity, we were able to make a meaningful difference in the lives of countless individuals and families in Gaza. Your contributions have helped us provide the blankets and comfort to the families. Together, we are trying to cover up one of the difficulties they are facing.

As NEED Charity, we were able to distribute blankets and we couldn’t miss the chance. So, we acted as quick as possible and thanks to your support, alhamdulillah we were able to provide 100 blankets to families. And we will continue to support the people of Gaza as much as we can, as Allah (swt) allows us, until Palestine is free inshaAllah. May Allah allow us all to see the end of the t*rrorsit state and the freedom of Palestine 🇵🇸

THE MONTH OF RAJAB IS HERE!

“Indeed, the number of months ordained by Allah is twelve—in Allah’s Record1 since the day He created the heavens and the earth—of which four are sacred. That is the Right Way. So do not wrong one another during these months. And fight the polytheists together as they fight together against you. And know that Allah is with those mindful ˹of Him˺.”

(Surah At-Tawbah,36)

As Allah says in the Holy Quran, there are 4 sacred months which means haram. These are Dhul – Qa’dah, Dhul-Hijjah, Al-Muharram and Rajab. Since the beginning of time, it has been forbidden to fight in these months. The reason for this was to protect the pilgrims who are going to Makkah in Hajj season and in the Umrah season, before Ramadan.

Rasoolullah (saw) said: “Rajab is the month of Allah, Sha’ban is my month and Ramadan is the month of my Ummah.” (Suyuti) Can you imagine how honored you are that Allah (swt) accepted you to His month as a Muslim to benefit from it immensely.

The most important event to take place in this month is Al-Isra’ wal-Miraj! Rasoolullah (saw) was ascended to heavens and 5 daily prayers become fardh for all the Muslims.

As NEED Charity, for the 1st day of this sacred month of Rajab, which was on 12th of January, we opened a Masjid appeal. There are hundreds of unfinished masjids in Afghanistan and Bangladesh. Local people gather and start to build these masjids, but they cannot finish since they cannot find enough funds. That’s where we, NEED Charity, step in to complete these masjids. We wanted open this appeal because if we start on time, this masjid will be opened in Ramadan, inshaAllah.

May Allah allow and help us to spend this month in the most beneficial way possible. Let’s remember the dua Rasoolullah (saw) made during this month: “O Allah, bless us in Rajab and Shaban and allow us to reach Ramadan.”
