Eid Al Adha 2024

Another Eid al-Adha is behind us. This year, while the sadness of what is happening in Gaza continued, we also experienced the happiness of reaching Eid al-Adha and delivering meat to those in need.

This year, alhamdulillah, we sacrificed 918 shares of qurban in 6 countries. We are grateful to each of our donors who made this possible. Through your contributions, we were able to deliver meat to approximately 50,000 people. Alhamdulillah, hundreds of families in 6 countries were blessed to have meat, even if just for a day.

Although Eid al-Adha has ended, throughout the year, with the support of our donors, we continue to reach out to those in need through various campaigns such as water wells, food distributions, mosques, and schools. With your support, we strive every day to reach an orphan, to support a family. May Allah be pleased with all of you.

We pray to Allah to bring our ummah to a more beautiful Eid al-Adha next year and to make us witness the freedom and happiness of the people of Gaza.

Standing Together Against the Natural Disasters: Heavy Floods in Afghanistan

In recent weeks, there have been some heavy and unexpected rains in Afghanistan despite the season. The heavy rains have triggered flash floods, which caused the destruction of homes, buildings, and agricultural lands. The aftermath of these natural disaster has left many families homeless, vulnerable, and some children orphans like there wasn’t already so many in the country. All of them need urgent assistance.

As the floodwaters are gone, the true extent of the damage becomes increasingly obvious. Families have been displaced, crops have been destroyed, and essential services have been disrupted. Many people are dragged out from the rumbles, some children were saved from the mud that was about to swallow them.

In times of crisis, it is essential for us to come together and extend a helping hand to those in need. As NEED Charity, we try to help the Ummah as much as we can during challenging times. We recognize the urgency of the situation and are committed to providing immediate relief to the flood victims in Afghanistan. Our dedicated team will be on the ground, distributing hot meals, bread, and water to alleviate the suffering of those affected by the floods.

The provision of these basic necessities is a small yet crucial step towards rebuilding the lives of the affected people. Through our collective efforts, we aspire to bring hope even if it’s little and comfort to those who have lost so much from their hard-earned houses and loved-ones.

THE MONTH OF RAJAB IS HERE!

“Indeed, the number of months ordained by Allah is twelve—in Allah’s Record1 since the day He created the heavens and the earth—of which four are sacred. That is the Right Way. So do not wrong one another during these months. And fight the polytheists together as they fight together against you. And know that Allah is with those mindful ˹of Him˺.”

(Surah At-Tawbah,36)

As Allah says in the Holy Quran, there are 4 sacred months which means haram. These are Dhul – Qa’dah, Dhul-Hijjah, Al-Muharram and Rajab. Since the beginning of time, it has been forbidden to fight in these months. The reason for this was to protect the pilgrims who are going to Makkah in Hajj season and in the Umrah season, before Ramadan.

Rasoolullah (saw) said: “Rajab is the month of Allah, Sha’ban is my month and Ramadan is the month of my Ummah.” (Suyuti) Can you imagine how honored you are that Allah (swt) accepted you to His month as a Muslim to benefit from it immensely.

The most important event to take place in this month is Al-Isra’ wal-Miraj! Rasoolullah (saw) was ascended to heavens and 5 daily prayers become fardh for all the Muslims.

As NEED Charity, for the 1st day of this sacred month of Rajab, which was on 12th of January, we opened a Masjid appeal. There are hundreds of unfinished masjids in Afghanistan and Bangladesh. Local people gather and start to build these masjids, but they cannot finish since they cannot find enough funds. That’s where we, NEED Charity, step in to complete these masjids. We wanted open this appeal because if we start on time, this masjid will be opened in Ramadan, inshaAllah.

May Allah allow and help us to spend this month in the most beneficial way possible. Let’s remember the dua Rasoolullah (saw) made during this month: “O Allah, bless us in Rajab and Shaban and allow us to reach Ramadan.”

Need Charity’s Big Orphanage In Afghanistan

What is an orphan? A child who doesn’t have his mother or father, and sometimes, unfortunately, neither. Orphans mostly cannot get the attention and the love they need from their family. In developed countries, they might get the care they require to be a good person of the society, but in under-developed countries, the orphans mostly need to work to earn the money their family need. So, life is more than difficult for the orphans in under-developed countries.

As NEED Charity, we strive to help the orphans in every way possible. Our orphanage in Afghanistan is the proof for it. It has a capacity of 300 children. The children come in the morning and go at the evening to their homes because we don’t want them to feel abandoned by their families, and still get to see their family members every day. They learn Quran in this orphanage, they also learn math, English language, tailoring, and carpet weaving so that they will have a job after they graduate from this facility, and even if they cannot continue their education, they will be able to earn their own money (we would prefer they continue their education, though).

And now as NEED Charity, we will be starting our 300 Orphan Sponsorship campaign for 2024, in the next couple of days as we did last year. Thanks to your support, 300 orphans and a few of the poorest children were able to attend our orphanage. Now, it’s time to renew their sponsorships. We know that with your support we will be able to continue to take care of them. If you also want to sponsor an orphan, all you need to do is to reach us and we’ll send you the details about the orphan you will sponsor. May Allah accept from everyone who contributes to these children’s lives.

Don’t forget, The Rasoolullah (saw) said: “I and the person who looks after an orphan and provides for him, will be in Paradise like this,” putting his index and middle fingers together. May Allah allow us to be one of these people.

Afganistan Earthquake

Last Saturday, a powerful 6.3 magnitude earthquake followed by strong aftershocks struck western Afghanistan. Unfortunately, more than 2500 people died and 10000 were injured. 300 houses were partially or fully destroyed in the earthquake. According to the information we received from NEED Charity teams on the ground, people are still buried under the rubble. Rescue teams along with local men are struggling to pull out the dead and injured trapped under the razed houses. With communications down and many roads blocked, rescue workers are struggling to reach remote areas. Additionally, an estimated 300 families are reported to have been displaced to Herat City where they are living in abandoned buildings.

Earthquakes are common in Afghanistan, where there are a number of fault lines and frequent movement among three nearby tectonic plates. Afghans are still reeling from recent quakes, including the magnitude 6.5 earthquake in March that struck much of western Pakistan and eastern Afghanistan.

As NEED Charity, we reached the earthquake region on the second day and determined the most necessary things for the earthquake victims. We launched Urgent Relief Campaign for our brothers. We will urgently distribute food, water and blankets.

As you know, Afghanistan is already struggling with poverty, hunger, and water shortages. NEED Charity started to help to our people. Now they need you more than ever.

43 HOUSING PROJECT IN AFGHANISTAN

Afghanistan is struggling with many problems like poverty, hunger, epidemic and homelessness. All these problems affects their life unfavorably. But homelessness is getting bigger problem every passing day. NEED Charity visited there on last winter and summer and witnessed how our brothers and sisters’ situatons are hard. We started housing projects for families who live in tents in hard conditions.

We as NEED Charity aim to build 43 houses instead of tent. Afghan Government gave 400 m2 land to poor families. Thats why houses will be built on their own land. This made our plan easir. Also to reduce the cost, houses will be builded with adope brick. Each of houses is 48 m2, 1 kitchen, 1 bathroom, 1 hall and 1 living room. We are collecting the donations faster than our plan. Donors of NEED Charity are interested in this project. In 2 weeks, 34 houses were donated and only 9 houses are left. When this project finish, it will helps empowerment of that area. No more people will die due to scorching summers and freezing winters. Houses will help to them to focus their future. Thats why the project is significant more than normal. We will also be with them to solve their some other problems like lack of water, health and hunger.

Our team alreay started to construction. Aslo campaign is continue at the same time. We aim to deliver the houses to families before winter and make their life easier as much as we can.

NEED Charity will continue to be hope for our brothers, sisters and children regardless of distance.

Let’s Reach Them Before Winter Comes

In the aftermath of the war in Afghanistan, the process of societal recovery is facing significant challenges. Many regions are grappling with homelessness, forcing people to live in tents. The harsh conditions of scorching summers and freezing winters have led to tragic deaths among the affected population. Nevertheless, hope is sprouting amidst adversity.

The house project initiated in a village is shedding light on this situation. Fueled by community solidarity, this endeavor aims to provide a solution to the dire living conditions in the village. The new houses not only offer shelter but also rekindle a sense of hope. Rooted in collaboration and volunteerism, the project will also provide education and healthcare services alongside housing. Project emerges as a hopeful step, not only for the village but as a potential catalyst for a wind of change across the entire country, brimming with hope.

Remember after eartquake we as NEED Charity started 100 Houses Project in Syria and they will be delivered to earthquake victim families thanks to your donations in this month insaAllah. Now we are inviting you all our brothers and sisters to support this another big project to build shelter for these families.

We believe that you are always with needy muslim people. Now they really need your support ever more.

Lets build for them house and future insaAllah. May Allah Accept All Your Supports

AfghanistanWater Wells

Water Campaign In Afghanistan

Drought is increasing rapidly around the world. This problem affects mostly African countries. But also in Afghanistan,  lack of water is becoming one of the country’s most significant challenges. Similar to many African nations, Afghanistan faces the urgent need for water wells to address this problem.

Last 4 years, the  rain got lower. In some places, people use snow water that left from winter. When this finish as well, they drill the water well. Implementing water wells can provide a viable solution, offering access to underground water sources for communities. However, the implementation of water wells requires careful planning and coordination.

Assessing water resources, identifying suitable drilling locations, and engaging local communities are crucial steps. Maintenance efforts are essential for the sustainability and long-term success of the water well projects. On the otherhand somearea doesn’t have well opportunety unfourtunately. Thats why, water is provided by carying from diffirent places. Because of that, people in some ares are not able to reach to water in this way health problems and epidemic disease are increasing fastly.

As NEED Charity, we have long term experiences drilling water well and keeping them works professinaly with our teams. Thanks to our donors, more than 100 wells were drilled and 400 ton clean water were distributed to many villages until today. We are planing to organize drilling more water wells and provide to water people as much as we can insaAllah.

Afghanistan Qurbani 2023: Brotherhood that is came with your helps

As NEED Charity, we inaugurated 4 Orphan Homes, 1 masjid and 1 water Well during Eid Al-Adha in Afghanistan. Also we distributed zakat, qurbani meat and hot meals to family that lives in tent camps.

Afghanistan which is exposed to occupation and irruption during their history kept the importance because of geopolitical position and rich nature resources at modern period. While Soviet and USA occupations that took long devastated the country, undo the Muslim community as well. People face with hunger and poverty could fulfill basic need like education, health, trade on occupation and civil war years that can not provide life safety. On the other hand, political chaos that happened these process gave chance international teror groups staying at country. This made the Islamic life for the people in Afghanistan harder. Today, the most important need for Afganistan is recovering process far away from foreign intervention and subcontractor teror groups. Reattaing common and sufficient educaiton opportunity is one of the essence interms of posterity in the country.

NEED Charity Team sacrifice 36 big animals and 18 small animals that collected during Eid Al Adha period.  Then qurbani meats were reached to needy family in remote areas.

The team also visited many disabled and sick people to distribute zakat during Afganistan visit. Also our team met with governor and got information about general situation of region and urgent need. Before coming back to country, our team started works for future works of Afghanistan.

Gift Clothes to the Children of Afghanistan in This Ramadan

Ramadan is a month of giving, compassion, and empathy. It’s a time when we reflect on our blessings and think of those who are less fortunate than us. This year, as Need Charity we are launching a clothing campaign to help the children in Afghanistan. The ongoing conflict and economic crisis have left many families struggling to provide basic necessities for their children, including clothes. This Ramadan, let’s come together to make a difference in the lives of these children.

Afghanistan is one of the poorest countries in the world, with a per capita income of only $2,000 per year. The country has also been embroiled in conflict for decades, leaving many families displaced and struggling to make ends meet. As a result, children often go without basic necessities like clothes. This Ramadan, we are aiming to provide clothes to as many children in need as possible.
